Tourism on iBiza
iBiza clubs have become the center of the worldwide dance music. The season traditionally begins at the start of June with the clubs opening parties and finishes on the first weekend of October with the Closing Parties. There are plans to extend this season but it's a complicated situation involving hotels and airlines.
Large areas of iBiza are designated World Heritage Sites by the UN. It's the place many photographers and film directors head when they need beautiful back drops.
The islands government is trying to change iBiza's image and is passing legislation to calm down the hedonism and encourage a quieter tourism scene. All new hotels have to be 5-star and all clubs have to close by 6am
Despite the islands great scenery and good climate when the clubs are closed iBiza is empties. If you visit off season you'll find the streets, cafe's and bars deserted.
